Adam's in his own world again. It's not as bad as it was, but there's still rain. It's too much noise and they're moving much too fast. Adam wants to object, but inside he knows he'd only be ignored at this point. He doubts he can find his own voice in this moment as it is. One hand is gripped much too tight on the door and the other is dug into the seat. He can barely breathe. He can't open his eyes, he's- everything's a sickly shade of red, slowly washed away into a pink mess.
Before he's lost in the rabbit hole, though, something grabs for his hand and he jumps, before recognizing the feeling of it, and memories change to something simpler, of two awkward teenagers trying to find how they could fit. He latches onto it in favor of what's going on around him now, his breathing calming down down. He still doesn't open his eyes because he doesn't know how he'll react if he sees as well as feels, so he just holds onto Blue's hand and tries to put everything out of his mind.
