He isn't sure how he's supposed to react to any of this. He's angry, he's confused, he's worried... he can't believe it. Then again, in a world full of magic and dreamers, prophesies and ley lines, of course it's possible. Dream up a different version, kill them to save him. But nothing is that simple. How could they have thought it would be?

It takes a moment for Gansey to realize that Ronan is up and heading to the door, and Noah is standing there looking very scared. "Ronan," he says in a tone that urges him to stop, because he needs to think, and he still doesn't understand what happened. He knows he should, but his brain doesn't want to accept it. "Ronan, wait!" He gets up, but then he's crashing down to his knees, and Noah is there next to him in an instant, getting him up and back in bed.

"He just wants to you live. He doesn't want you to die. You could have given him the favor," Noah tells him, but Gansey is too dizzy to think about that right now.
